I have a bunch of family and friends from Six Nations in southern Ontario … a Mohawk community. Most of the people I know there are part of the turtle clan and all their houses are filled with turtle memorabilia … at one friends house, I literally trip on turtles because he has several large heavy door stoppers in the shape of turtles.

IIRC you’re in the UK (genuine apologies if I got it wrong) and I’ve recently learned that imgur is blocked there, but I made this album a long time ago and am not sure how to (simply and securely) mirror an imgur album.

I don’t think I have a turtle equivalent, but my dad was an “elephant person”:

His elephant collection even featured paintings - shown in that album - because they were painted by elephants. One birthday, to his great joy, I took him hundreds of miles to ride an elephant (I didn’t know those events were cruel back then, I’m not proud of doing this now, but I am proud of how happy it made him to meet an elephant in person).

In case you can’t access that album, here’s my favorite entry in his collection; lightning took down a tree in his yard, so he hired a woodcarver to make this out of it:

And then you learn the truth: her extensive collection of turtle dildos and other turtle themed sex toys.
