It’s not completely safe. Regulation makes sense. Especially for protecting developing brains from long-term negative damage.

If you look at it as an illegal drug, it’s obvious that it doesn’t work to criminalize. It seems much more appropriate and effective to legalize, regulate, and have information and support programmes in place.

In Germany, it was legalized, but only in a very limited form, to get it through the coalition government. I think the current form is too bureaucratic, too restrictive. The most important thing is that it legalized holding personal consumption belongings.

Miserable

I remember a linked article that explored how the supply chain laws could turn into a long-term advantage for Europe.

Yes, it has a cost. But if we want to care about human beings and the environment, we have to regulate, and have that cost of supply chain requirements, just like we do have these within Europe for European companies.

If we do not have that, we decide to accept exploitation. If we abolish the regulation, we decide to support exploitation, because at large, that is the inevitable consequence, because it’s cheaper.

Companies, the economy, can adjust just fine, as long as it’s a stable environment. Dropping the regulation would not only have a human and environmental cost, but economic costs, and even more so if it were to be reapplied later. Even saying that it could be dropped is damaging to long-term market stability.

The supply chain stuff isn’t really about their workers. It’s about ensuring fair conditions of workers in the supply chain.

Which is a bureaucratic burden. It does have a cost for no immediate economic benefit.

But if you consider human rights and morality, it’s a necessary addition. Despite the cost.

Das ist ein Thema was vielleicht objektiv wichtig wäre, aber mit dem man viele Wähler vergraulen kann.

Sehr viele Bürger machen jedes Jahr Feuerwerk, oder erfreuen sich am Feuerwerk, oder sind es gewohnt und wollen es nicht missen.

Dass die Pressetitel dann reißerisch wären ist erwartbar. Da kannst du noch so viel versuchen zu argumentieren. Und dann ist auch klar dass die Bürger und potenziellen Wähler dann emotional und abweisend reagieren würden.

Ich verstehe warum das nicht aufgegriffen wurde. Wenn, dann ist das etwas für laufende Politik und Diskussion im Bundestag. Aber auch da erwarte ich wenig Aktivität und Initiative.

Wo ist der Zusammenhang zwischen freiwillig ein hohes Gehalt bekommen und sich nicht korrumpieren lassen? Du stellst das hier dar als ob das eine auf das andere schließt und direkt zusammen hängt. So ist das aber nicht.

Das ist schon sehr absurd. Und tragisch.

Ist das so? Haben wir diese Angst oder Besorgnis? Habe ich so noch nicht wahrgenommen oder gehört.

Steht ja eigentlich unseren Spartendenzen entgegen. Erspartes Geldvermögen vermindert sich durch Inflation, bzw verschwindet durch hohe Inflation.

Vielleicht kommt die Besorgnis eher generell vom Werteverlust, und weniger aus der Historie der Hyperinflation?
