In my small country there is a new law that a percentage of media must be created in our native language. A similar law for including native news makes sense for colonies like USA/Canada etc.

That way only the disk caddy and ARM machine need to go up top. Thanks for the idea.
FarraigePlaisteach@lemmy.worldOPto techsupport@lemmy.world•[Solved] How can I make my small server less disruptive to housemates (for cleaning etc)?2·12 days agoI think that’s the way to go. I’ll replace the extension lead with a double adapter so the devices can be plugged straight in behind the locker. Then the other stuff can either go on a raised level or on the locker itself. Thanks.
FarraigePlaisteach@lemmy.worldto GIMP@lemmy.world•PhotoGIMP has been updated for GIMP 3.02·12 days agoI used Ardour for about a year or two to produce a podcast. It’s so well polished and I preferred it to Logic Pro for that task at times.
FarraigePlaisteach@lemmy.worldto GIMP@lemmy.world•PhotoGIMP has been updated for GIMP 3.01·12 days agoI appreciate the reply, that’s really interesting. I struggle with conflicting muscle memory when I use one application a lot (GIMP) but then spend periods of time in other like Pixelmator and to a lesser degree Inkscape and Scribus.
I used Photoshop before it became subscription based. I found some things easier in GIMP and I’ve always been curious if that’s just because it’s familiar or because the workflow happened to be more intuitive.
Anyway, the design behind these programs themselves blows my mind.

As for the EU, we should fund a federated or decentralised system. I think it works well on Lemmy. For example I know not to trust feddit.org for anything related to Palestine. Content on other servers shows their pro-Israel bias.
I think a system like that could benefit the US to a point, at least until the government block all external news and commentary.

Makes the ads seem even more obscene now that I know that.

When I’m lazy I read comments for context but they’ve proven to be less reliable.
Oh, that changes things. Thank you! It’s great to have another solid option.
