  • Have I got a survival crafting rpg game for you!

Semi-joking there; dysmantle is a breath of fresh air imo. It’s not as survival-focused as some games; you don’t have to eat, for example, and the crafting that you do is… actually worth it, and usually dead simple to unlock because if you’ve been progressively destroying literally everything like the game wants you to do, you have plenty of stuff shortly after unlocking the thing. And yes I do have a save file in which I am attempting to clear every breakable item in the game, which is almost everything. Because why not.

The game is mostly just explore, break shit, kill zombies, build a base if you want (there are some quests but you can destroy everything after if you don’t want it. It serves no real purpose beyond a creativity outlet), and eventually escape the island. After you learn all the story through finding random scraps of information because that’s right, all people except you are zombies! You don’t talk to anyone! And that really enhances the game imo.

That one has a magic I’ve been looking to get again with another game but no, it’s too unique! The horrors! The studio is working on another game called dysplaced which is going to be drum roll an open world survival crafter!! I’m actually excited to try it because of dysmantle, though! :)

  • The early mass-adopted Internet, where every company aimed at kids had a website with free games, where everyone who wanted to share about themselves or their interests did so in their own little corner so you could rabbit-hole your way through the link trees, most stuff was non-monetized or had easy-to-block ads, and no tracking of your behavior was really happening.

  • Hey I’ve got one there too! She had an egg sack this year, and shortly after they all hatched out and dispersed, she disappeared.

We had an agreement that as long as she stayed in her corner when I was showering, she could stay. And she did! But for about a week she had a buddy on the other side of the shower, and he did not get the memo. He went down the drain when he tried to crawl to the middle right above me. No thanks spider bro.

  • She could have at least asked him to stop before destroying property.

We don’t actually know that she didn’t, unless you’ve got another article with more detail. This article is sparse in details, but it’s only his word in it that she didn’t talk to him. That nobody was bothered by it. That it went from 0-100 in the span of a look.

And idk about you, but that doesn’t sound all that likely to me, when everyone laughs at him for the consequences (seen in video). The whole thing screams this guy is an unreliable narrator. The whole thing to me reads like he knew he was pissing people off, like a YouTube prank channel sort of bother, and expected to walk away from it consequence free.

This article has a bit more detail and it does make him sound like a shitty prank channel sort that relies on annoying other people going about their lives. But again has no info about the encounter except his own words.

  • Technically my device does that, but I found out that if I open videos in a defunct old browser (probably not a necessary component, just the one I use) that randomizes fingerprint information, if you long-press the video name and open in a new private tab (so new randomized fingerprint) it treats you for that one video as a new user.

So just have to open each video I want to watch in a new private tab, and good to go, no ads ever. Yes this is a lot of work, but I’m not aware of other options on iOS. On my desktop I use freetube.

I’m sure they will change this soon, but I’ll just stop using YouTube then. I’ve been full-on blocking sites through pihole that have started self-hosting their ad content, or where blocking the ad content breaks the page like IMDb. idgaf. I won’t use your site.

  • I leave my carriers out, open, and as part of their tunnel system (I sometimes put the ends of crinkly tubes into the carriers to make an end play point).

So my cats actually enjoy their carriers. I don’t even have to shove them in, just put in a couple treats and since they are used to being in it, zip it peacefully behind them.
