Mariner is the goat. We deserved 7 seasons and a movie!
I liked the end of her current arc on lower decks.
What I’d like to see is a continuation under a different name, since they’re no longer really lower decks.
Middle Decks
They saw where it was going and cancelled it, because their secret objective is to run ST into the ground and claim it as unprofitable. LD threatened to derail their plans be bringing ST back.
I considered using her in this, but did not because
- The contrast between Uhura’s relatively small role compared to Burnham’s leading role really fit the concept well
- I couldn’t think of any time Guinan was ever depicted running.
Could have shown Q running FROM Guinan maybe.
I wish you had. Or even Cassidy Yates. Maybe you could have used kid Guinan bouncing on the bed from Rascals?
Uhura walked so Burnham could cry and wail and sob.
And so the actress could preach insufferably her Christianity in each interview.
It’s called getting high off a plant from exposure.
The less said about anything NuTrek the better.
