Everyone is entitled to their opinion about why this is happening, and I share yours.
Data point: This was addressed in the documentary The Cove, which is about dolphin hunting. Fishing companies insisted that dolphin meat was an important part of the Japanese diet, but when they interviewed folks on the street they looked confused and laughed at the idea of eating a beautiful dolphin.

They’re asking what the parent commenter meant by “deviant ollam folding scissors.”

2C-I is my favorite probably, but I haven’t taken it in 15 years and these days it might be too intense for me. I take LSD and MDMA 6-10 times per year though.
I really appreciate you writing this up! All valid points. I recently learned what exposition means (I’m a native English speaker, but it was new to me.) It sounds like a lot of what you didn’t like is exposition in dialogue, and I agree - when I notice it, I instantly think less of the writing.
Also, great points about the characters being unfamiliar with these unique childless-world experiences even though it’s been their reality for 18 years.
Thanks again for taking the time.

I mean, One Battle is one of the best movies I’ve seen in the last 10 years. I’m excited for another chance to see it on a big screen.

We need a president who runs the country like a business, i.e. creates a front, scams everyone, then shutters the company to avoid accountability.
I loved the movie and I’m interested in specifics about what you didn’t like! Being passionate about your opinions isn’t inherently disrespectful.

She played Comfrey on Succession, Kendall’s social media manager in seasons 3-4.

In my area, there’s one independent pharmacy in a metro of 3m+ people. Walgreens bought all of them and closed most of them. Our options are Walgreens and CVS.

In general I agree with you. If you haven’t seen this movie, IMO it’s his best performance by far.

I don’t know how any of this works. What’s stopping Google from doing the same thing to old phones?

Same. Even adjusting for inflation, if I went back and told myself 10 years ago what I’d be earning in 2025, past me would think it’s “buy-whatever-I-want-money.” I can buy everything I need, but I never seem to have much left over.

I agree, and to the comment above you, it’s not because it’s guaranteed to reduce symptoms. There are many ways that talking with another person is good for us.
Agree with everything you said. It was like Alex Garland had a sketchbook of all the random ideas he had for the franchise, and they turned it into a movie. Sometimes I think a movie is bad, but I don’t harp on it because everyone has their opinion. But the sheer grandiosity of the positive reviews on this movie are so far from my experience, I just feel so confused.

CBT is one treatment for depression - and you should stick with whatever’s helpful for you - but it’s not THE treatment. In the last couple decades there’s been a trend towards more flexible and integrative models like ACT and IFS. These models suggest that our efforts to avoid “bad” thoughts and feelings actually causes more suffering and keeps us stuck. Integrative models focus on allowing those things to exist, or even welcoming them in.

Do you have a source on your claim that data centers recycle water? Because these researchers state that 80% of the water is evaporated, and the other 20% is discharged to municipal wastewater facilities.
Goodbye! You’re right that much or most of the fanbase is childish morons, but some of us are not that.
