I’ve been on a “political imagination” kick lately. We gotta start trying new shit on smaller scales, to demonstrate to the people watching that we (collectively, individually, locally, and nationally) are competent and trustworthy and can accomplish things. Then we can build up from there
Bring out Young Dro at the DNC and they both do the shoulder lean
Even events with probability 0 still happen
I’m fascinated to see the PSL results in my state. There’s a reasonably active chapter in my city, but I wonder how that will translate to votes
Tossing around big numbers to estimate things like this is so fun, thanks for the write up!
If you’re into extreme metal at all, Red Nebula is a cool collective of communist and communist-adjacent music. Periodeater is the band on their label I’ve listened to most.

Gonna see them for the second time next month!! So fucking hyped
ML and AI-type stuff is sick as hell, but the media hype-bullshit and stable diffusion stuff that people use for slop gives it all a bad name. I know people doing really cool research on different types of cancer and cleft palate data using ML approaches, to good effect. Stuff like that should be prioritized and publicized much more. They practically claimed DeJoy was going to help Trump steal the 2020 election by destroying the USPS capacity to deliver mail-in ballots, and as SOON as the election was called it’s been radio silence about him ever since. That struck me out of the blue one day in like 2022 and I felt insane
