Well I guess that’s another problem Europeans don’t have, but we’re not here to take your guns away!

https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/de/ip_22_663
Ah sorry, maybe my restriction to the US of A was wrong, I apologize for expluding central/south america that seems to have the same problem.
theolodis@feddit.orgto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People who have permanently moved to another country, what gave you the opportunity and was it worth it?5·2 days agoWell, in Europe we have considerably less mexicans. But in exchange you get lots of Italian, French, Spanish, Belgian, Turkish/Mediterranean and specially in the Netherlands, Indonesian cuisine.
With this mentality that’s also where you’ll be in 20 years.
Change starts small.
You’re aware that families in europe go on family trips by taking the train across the mountains? That’s part of the problem, you americans don’t like to think far beyond your horizon (cars). Or maybe you just can’t imagine what a city would look like that is built for pedestrians and public transportation.

Jokes aside, that’s also part of the problem, yes. The governments must legislate gardens and fields.

theolodis@feddit.orgto Europe@feddit.org•Wild honeybees now officially listed as endangered in the EUEnglish14·4 days agoIt’s not only that, also the big accumulations of farmed honeybees in close proximity helps spread diseases (also to wild population), and the more Honeybees there are to produce honey for humans, the less natural food for the wild honeybees, as they compete for the same food sources.
One could say eating honey helps to decimate the wild honeybee.

Yes, you shouldn’t just discard it, specially if it is the Qur’an (100% arabic without any additions), because that is considered the word of god. But even for those it is considered the respectful way to either burn or bury them.
Any book that also contains translations or tafsir (comments for context) is not even considered to be the Qur’an, and the rules about only touching them while pure don’t apply. Some might still treat it the same way, because it’s important to them though.

Brother I know nothing about you, but what you write sounds like you haven’t talked to a lot of muslims, and like youre an islamophobe.
But I don’t judge you, I do just observe. But you do give strong “I am not racist because I have friends that are black” vibes.
Muslim, especially in the USA and Europe, is just a synonym for brown/black people. Also I am confident that some of the Syrians and Libanese are actually Muslims, you just don’t talk to them, so how would you know? Because Muslims don’t have symbols like Christians do.
So your point is that that people are uneducated and ignore context, and thus books are bad?
And concerning insulting Christians, go to Texas and pee on a cross, then we can talk. Of course you can safely do that where you are, probably because there are not a lot of Christians in your area, but the more of one population there are, the hight the chances that one of them is crazy.
Then this post is probably not about you, sorry
