For some context, the Swiss military had (after a lengthy and expensive process) selected the Gripen to replace its fleet of aging F18s. That decision was then overturned by the Swiss voters via a referendum, causing the whole process to restart and finally, years later, selecting the F35… and now we are back at square one I guess.
