World News@lemmy.world•Young Women in Afghanistan on the Taliban: "Your Arrival Transformed My Dreams into Nightmares"English4216·2 years agoThe Afghan government under the US was run by Muslims. I’d rather have a Muslim in government than a racist like you.
Porn denigrates women? Shocking!

Android@lemdro.id•This is the $300 Android phone to beat in 2023 - and it even has a stylusEnglish11·2 years agoOnePlus was fully designed and created in China while Motorola was bought out by Lenovo. Motorola is still fishy but it’s technically still an American company so I feel better about it. It’s just false hope that my data isn’t being stolen, privacy is dead anyways.

Android@lemdro.id•This is the $300 Android phone to beat in 2023 - and it even has a stylusEnglish42·2 years agoThe Nothing Phone is the only other real option, but it’s also one phone while Motorola has several options for several different price ranges. OnePlus is purely Chinese (I know Motorola isn’t perfect but it could be worse). Google Pixels aren’t cheap.

Android@lemdro.id•This is the $300 Android phone to beat in 2023 - and it even has a stylusEnglish2·2 years agoI got the version with the stylus of this phone solely because the version without the stylus didn’t have an NFC chip. The stylus is kinda neat though.

Android@lemdro.id•This is the $300 Android phone to beat in 2023 - and it even has a stylusEnglish102·2 years agoMotorolas are my favorite type of phone. I’m never going to use Apple and Samsung phones are bloated with garbage I don’t want. It’s not like there’s another real option.

World News@lemmy.world•Zelenskyy fires recruitment officials for accepting $10,000 bribes to help Ukrainian men dodge the draft: 'bribery during war is treason'English5719·2 years agoDude, Ukraine was invaded. The last time the US has had to use a draft for circumstances like this was the Civil War, and everyone now thinks it was warranted then.

World News@lemmy.world•German far right’s Höcke wants to kick disabled kids out of regular schoolsEnglish435·2 years agoFirst people push for mass abortions of disabled people (see Iceland), next they try to make living disabled people’s lives horrible. Eugenics is making a comeback and nobody cares.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Voting only for people from [insert political party] for local positions is idiotic.44·2 years agoWell in that case I should just vote straight-ticket Republican. I’ve always voted a mix of Democrat and Republican on local levels (since I’ve always voted for the best person for the job), but clearly that’s not wise if I want to achieve my political goals.

Texas@lemmy.world•[Fort Worth Star-Telegram] New Texas law will keep kids from needed online community — and hit LGBTQ teens hardest | Opinion13·2 years agoGood. Social media (particularly mainstream but lemmy isn’t perfect) is horrible and destructive to teens’ minds. There’s a reason that so many teenagers are becoming extremists.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Americans seem to support abortion access. Why do Republicans keep trying to block it anyway?939·2 years agoSame with Democrats tbh. There are many, many people who would vote for a moderate Republican if not for abortion.
