I have the impression there is some sort of confusion, most probably I need to explain things better.

In this post I had 2 questions, you reply in relation to the 1st one. To my understanding this one was solved. I am also wondering about the 2nd one.

Here is an example about the 2nd one: In the following post see the thread starting by the comment of user gedaliyah. Notice it is present in lemmy, but not present in PieFed. At least for me?

• If I got this right, when the first comment of a conversation is highly downvoted, all the conversation that follows disappears. In practice, this means that everybody else’s input is in a way erased, since at somr point it is not visible. I believe a bad initial comment that gets a thoughtful reply can be a great conversation starter with many participants. So I don’t understand this approach neither.

The way it is for lemmy seems fine to me. Everything is visible. Why make the whole thread disapear in PieFed?

Edit: I just noticed that the flair solved was added. Should I perhaps make a separate post for the 2nd point?

This is one of the recent reasons why the US supports the state of Israel, but it is on top of many more historical reasons. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mean justifiable ones.

Καταλαβαίνω απόλυτα κ συμφωνώ με την ουσία αυτού που λες. Παρ’ όλ’ αυτά το βλέπω σαν να ήταν για πολλούς λόγους, όχι για κανένα λόγο.

Επίσης απ’ ότι φαίνεται δεν υπήρχε ούτε καν μαμμή στο αφήγημα, με την έννοια ότι οι γυναίκες που επιλέγουν να γεννήσουν σπίτι πάντα έχουν τη βοήθεια άλλων γυναικών που ξέρουν απ’ αυτά
• ένα σύζυγο που τουλάχιστο υποστήριζε την επιλογή της με την αποφυγή των γιατρών αλλά μπορεί κ να την ενθάρρυνε προς κάτι τέτοιο δεν ξέρουμε στ’ αλήθεια
• κ ποιος ξέρει τι άλλο.

Στην ουσία είναι μια σειρά πραγμάτων που συνδυαστικά είχαν σαν αποτέλεσμα σ’ αυτούς τους 2 θανάτους.

Whitout doubting what you say, from this last tweet it looks like the narrative (at least in this instance) has shifted? In the sense that this text seems pretty clear to me.

Of course the carbon footprint of the billionaires is nothing compaired to what the industry sector emits. My point was in relation to how the per capita emissions are used, not in comparison to the economy as a whole. While keeping in mind that it’s big oil coined ‘carbon footprints’ to blame us for their greed, so that we focus on personnal choices, instead of collective action.

I would be interested in seeing the methodology behind that figure

I have major issues with Hannah Ritchie’s approach because imo green capitalism cannot be a solution to the Triple Planetary Crisis, and this is what she’s actually advocating for. Instead of writing a lengthy comment, I will use an article that talks mainly about her approach on degrowth, which is just one of my objections to her views.
