Game of Thrones ended so badly that nobody talks about it anymore. You’ll hear the occasional quotes that were memorable, but nobody really cares about the show anymore.

Yeah, instead of shooting missiles they can just try to outdo each other in aerial maneuvers or something.
A public park is literally the best open space to practice juggling outside of your own backyard.
I’d love to see how Firefox Focus and Orion rank.
Only the bots they like are allowed.
It works because people are willing to put up with it for a quality show. If a show was mediocre, I doubt people would be patient enough to wait week by week.
I’ve had fewer issues when using servers in Asia.
IIRC gut microbes influence our bodies so much, so I won’t be suprised if that’s the reason it helped.
You mentioned you have hobbies and you travel. Maybe see if you can find a career path from those? I know there’s the risk of ruining a hobby by doing it for a living, but it might be worth a shot since you don’t have anything else in mind at the moment.
I love the automatic time converter. So convenient! Thanks for setting this up. I voted.
Yeah it takes a video but we don’t see anything.
Yeah my living room camera that is only on while sleeping randomly alerts “Someone appeared” in the middle of the night.
I feel like you’re pertaining to a specific TV show. Which one is it?
While I agree running multiple stories in parallel can get problematic, it all still boils down to execution. 3 equally important stories might not work with a limited season, but a proper balance of storytelling and good execution of the intersection of the stories at the midway or climax of the season can still work.
Wait, I thought the movie was doing well? I haven’t seen it yet, but reading the article it seems like this is more of a PR stunt and marketing gimmick to align with what happens in the movie. Apparently it’s revealed they are the new Avengers, so spoilers for everyone (including me) who hasn’t seen it yet I guess.
The federated nature of Lemmy makes it far more resistant to Reddit’s fate, but I still feel a sense of inevitability that there is a timer on how long this can last
Hell, the drama right now about the devs running out of funds and people refusing to donate because of their association with .ml might accelerate lemmy’s demise before it can even get big.
Because lemmy (forums) is built for following discussions, while mastodon (microblogging) is built for following people. Unless you’re popular and have many followers, you’ll have better engagement in a forum because people follow the topic being discussed, not the person discussing the topic.
It works as a stand-alone show and you don’t need to have watched Dune and Dune 2, but it does help provide some context if you did. Some of the stuff in the show aren’t even referenced in the movies (yet, only in the books), so watching them won’t really help either.
As a Dune fan, I found it just alright/mid. Not great, but not too bad either. I agree with the other comment that it’s better binged, else it will feel dragging. Hopefully they improve for the next season.
