Mugita Sokioto Privacy@lemmy.ml•What are you going to do when the internet starts asking for ID for everything?English1·1 day agoNostr is one of them, but I’d learn how to set that up first before using Primal.
Also, Nostr means Notes and Stuff on Relays, and is Free Software. This is the wild west of the internet, from what I was notified by my producer, Neigsendoig.
Mugita Sokioto Games@lemmy.world•GOG’s Freedom To Buy Campaign Gives Away Controversial Games For Free To Protest CensorshipEnglish29·2 days agoNeither Neigsendoig nor I will be grabbing any of them. That’s just our prerogative (though, to be clear, we aren’t for this censorous garbage).
Mugita Sokioto Games@lemmy.world•Mastercard release a statement about game stores, payment processors and adult contentEnglish1·2 days agoThat’s the problem. It’s the payment processors who were bullied by Collective Shout who chose what to ban, not Valve or the US.
Mugita Sokioto AskUSA•Is it true that in America you can't drink alcohol in public and how strictly is this enforced?English1·2 days agoDrinking in public and being drunk will get you (from what I understand) charged with the following:
- DWI or DUI if you drink and drive
- Public Intoxication otherwise
I think those are the two major offenses that could get you targeted if you drink too much and do something stupid while drunk.
I’d rather self-host with rclone and NextCloud if necessary, as Google Drive is not for me. I won’t even be getting a Google account (though my producer does).
Mugita Sokioto Dungeons and Dragons@lemmy.world•A family friend messaged me, are these worth anything?1·2 days agoIt’s absolutely worth them big time! That is some old-school stuff that you could certainly keep, especially since newer versions after 5e are probably going to be trashed by WotC, knowing the mistake they made by putting 5.1 under CC BY.
Not necessarily self-host, but I actually have an Obsidian vault that’s local-only. That is a vault where I can do my content creation brainstorming, especially script writing for Cocules Reddit Readings, of which I happened to be the new narrator for.
Otherwise, I try to do everything local without having to use something like Syncthing or NextCloud.
Mugita Sokioto News@lemmy.world•Spotify boycott: Artists leave ‘garbage hole’ platform after CEO invests in AI weaponsEnglish31·2 days agoMy producer, Neigsendoig, uses Wavlake. I’d be happy to provide a link if you all are interested.
Both Neigsendoig (my producer) and I are Aspies, yes.
Mugita Sokioto Dungeons and Dragons@lemmy.world•Dungeons & Dragons Group Shifts to 'Franchise Model' Internally, Will Be Led by Ex Halo Veteran1·2 days agoI have a sneaking suspicion that this will destroy some part of the D&D community. I’d rather play older versions up to 3.5e (and so would my producer), but that’s just me.
Mugita Sokioto OSR/NSR Tabletop Roleplaying Games@lemm.ee•Game System RecommendationsEnglish1·2 days agoMy producer and I second BFRPG 100%.
I think another one that’s actually pretty good is OSR+, and even my producer was looking into it.
My producer had used Linux for almost 5 years by now (on the 20th of this month), and I had used it for just around the same amount of time (shorter than him).
This is way truer than you think in my opinion…
All of this was just wrong from the beginning. Not to mention the bullying and harassment from the inside. This is the West’s version of Nijisanji.
I’d personally do some gematria and numerology on it to see if there’s a pattern to be recognized here.
I never gave him the benefit of the doubt, and likewise with my producer. I’m afraid that something odd is afoot on Justin’s part.
Mugita Sokioto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Nvidia calls time on support for popular GTX 1060 GPU and reveals Windows 10 driver deadlineEnglish3·2 days agoI think Linux will support those up to a certain version of the drivers. That’s from what I researched.
Edit: To clarify, I think this GPU will be somewhat supported on Linux, but that I’m not entirely sure on.
Mugita Sokioto Games@lemmy.world•Plants vs. Zombies Coming Back With Classic Chaos & New FeaturesEnglish2·2 days agoEA already ruined PvZ after releasing the second main game in the series.
I won’t be buying this one after what they pulled on PopCap.
Mugita Sokioto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•OK, not to be runde or anything, but why is your banner AI generatedEnglish2·2 days agoMy PFP is actually AI generated with a local model (Stable Diffusion 1.5) thanks to my producer, Neigsendoig (who goes by Sendo). Personally speaking, both Sendo and I are into generative AI, and use it with proper disclosure.
Most people should do that whenever they use generative AI for anything, provided that AI is an integral part of the production.

Mugita Sokioto Linux@lemmy.ml•Arch Linux Users at Risk Again as AUR Hit by Another RATEnglish1·2 days agoThis is why I just use the Chaotic AUR, knowing that something like this was being posted everywhere. My producer, Neigsendoig, does the exact same with his machine.
We both use CachyOS anyway.
Neigsendoig (my producer) and I have used i3 for a while… and we’ve probably stayed on that since we first started using WMs.
That said, we’ve attempted the likes of Xmonad (configured in Haskell), Awesome (configured in Lua), HerbstluftWM, BSPWM, Hypr (not Hyprland), JWM, Ratpoison and even SXWM.
Neigsendoig and I wouldn’t recommend any Wayland compositor due to new security risks (despite an attempt to fix X11 security issues), though a lot of people want Wayland to be shoved down our throats. We personally use X11 due to many things that Wayland devs can’t/won’t fix.
This is also part of the reason why the two of us are excited about XLibre (as much as some will hate the control of IBM, GNOME and FreeDesktop with their Wayland, Systemd and PipeWire push). Sure, its main developer left the project from what we’ve heard, but otherwise, there are a lot of contributions to it, and it will improve big time.
