Drunk drivers should be sentenced as if they were convicted murderers. Even if nothing bad happens, just finding out they did it should land them in just as deep a pile of shit as actually killing someone would. See how often they would try it then.

I’m totally convinced he knows absolutely nothing of value, he just parrots whatever he’s told to say. Whenever he says anything about something being “the greatest”, “the biggest”, “the biggest” etc, the absolute most charitable interpretation I have is that some “expert” summarized something for him (because he can’t read) and that’s how they referred to it with him.
He never explains why whatever things is the biggest or whatever, he never contextualizes it. He’s simply verbally checking a box that the real powers that be tell him to. He’s too stupid to be in charge of everything. He’s too stupid to know how to wash his hands, or discuss anything off the cuff.
I mean anyone could trip up and say something stupid when the camera’s rolling, but he isn’t capable of saying anything above what a 4 year old could understand. He can’t name all 50 states. He probably can’t name 50 geographical locations at all. He couldn’t tell you who’s on the $50 bill without looking at it. He can’t calculate 27 minus 9. He is literally completely brainless to the point I almost legit think people are working on early drafts of skin suits for evil AI bots.
I don’t think it’s naturally possible to be as stupid as him. He’s coddled because the rest of the conservatives want the world to go their way and he’s a useful proxy for that (for now) so they pretend to respect him until even they can’t hide it anymore, and move on to probably a Hitler lookalike.

My mom saw the NDT clip where he says God is just a receding pocket of unknowns (I’m paraphrasing the hell out of it because I can’t remember the actual wording).
I think part of her realizes that he is right because while she kinda hates all non-fundie people, she really REALLY doesn’t like him. I’m guessing because she sees that line of thought as a big threat.
But if I ever get into it with her, I will make absolutely sure to bring that idea in to it, just to watch her squirm.

I can’t see a negative here beyond false identification. If there was an objective, without a doubt way to measure if someone was a Nazi, I would support genociding them (and only them). Proactively. It should simply be as illegal to just be a Nazi on the same level as it would be to murder an entire country’s population.
Turns out that is either impossible or we’re millions of years from figuring out how to do that safely (safe in terms of not harming non Nazis). But the minute we do I’d be on board with punishing them for daring to be born. There is no world of timeline in which being Nazi isn’t worthy of immediate execution.
But since all of that is a pipe dream, in the mean time we can at least celebrate when they get taken out naturally. I wouldn’t like rub it in the family’s face (unless they were Nazis as well) or anything, but I’m definitely not even gonna act sad about it. The more pain they feel as they die, the harder I laugh. Tough lessons suck to learn. Sorry NOT sorry.
As a last note, I think that would be the better world, and it would be defending ourselves from their existence, which is a threat to everyone. As long as that idea is still in someone’s head, no one is safe.
