Ah. There are two types of these. The national ones that put up a few hundred “local” listings for the same job, skim off the top, and hope to make a cut. Then there are actual local ones that build relationships with companies with businesses in the area and actually find proper talent instead of playing a numbers game. The way they make money is the same, but the former is definitely much less of a sure thing.
How do you think staffing agencies work?

This is partially the case… the large eyes, round head, and flat face resemble that of a human infant. That is what triggers the instinct.
It’s the same reason Grogu (Baby Yoda) became so popular. Exact same archetype, triggering the exact same instincts.

It’s not. If people cared about genocide, they would’ve voted against the “finish the job” Republicans.
Babylon Bee is a Christian conservative version of The Onion. Don’t give them any recognition.

This is why I wish “southpaw” keyboards would become more mainstream. If you’re right-handed, having the numpad on the left makes way more sense ergonomically.

joenforcer@midwest.socialto Reddit@lemmy.world•I don't understand. He literally does this twice on tv, but he wants it removed from social media?11·1 month agoIt’s pretty well-known (as he admitted on SNL in 2021) that Elon Musk has Asperger’s Syndrome. This is evident in his inability to understand social cues and appropriate communication, his hardwired complete lack of empathy, and his strange and overpowering obsession with the letter X. He probably thinks he’s being edgy or hilarious without understanding that there are social consequences for those things that he does not have the ability to comprehend in the moment. Even scarier, actually, if you look into the history of the man the condition was named for (Hans Asperger) and some of the things he was into… you know, like generic purity and being a Nazi.
That’s a cascade. Capitalism represents an aesthetic and intellectual approach that values reason, order, and balance, drawing inspiration from the enduring legacy of ancient Greece and Rome.

Holy hyperbole, Batman! If you’re not posting like an edgy teenager then reddit is decently usable.
The insane reactionary takes against reddit on Lemmy are getting really tiring. Come on, guys.
I’m tired, boss.
