Privacy@lemmy.ml•Data Removal Services or just Google myself and remove my own data
5·6 months agoNot completely relevant, but the foss website/extension justdeleteme is a good resource for going through and “deleting” accounts.
Every now and then I go through my bitwarden and delete accounts I don’t need anymore, contributing to the justdeleteme site if it’s not on there.
If you’re on linux:
For video editing, one of the simpler but still feature-full ones is Openshot. If all you need is trimming, then Lossless Cut or the mpv plugin ‘mpv-lossless-cut’ is good.
edit: not sure if openshot is open source tbh
As for images, I don’t have any experience so maybe just check the ones here in section 2.5: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_of_applications/Multimedia

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?
4·6 months agoI’ve been playing Blood Typers with a friend after finishing The Textorcist from last week (what can I say, I like typing lol).
Apart from that, I got the itch to play some Titanfall 2 / Northstar, so that’s been fun as always

4·7 months agoI just got “The Textorcist”. Really unique, being a bullet hell typing game. Has been a pretty enjoyable experience, and I’m thinking about 100%-ing it if I can.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Nexus Mods improve the new open source app with UI upgrades, Cyberpunk 2077 fixes and moreEnglish
4·7 months agoNot there yet. It is still very early in alpha developement and only supports a few games (iirc Stardew Valley, Cyberpunk 2077, Baldurs Gate 3).
Supposedly it should be better than MO2 when it’s finished though.
I was using Boost but noticed some missing features, so I switched to Raccoon. I like it so far

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What app is so useful, you can’t believe it’s free?
13·9 months agofor windows:
- WizTree - Disk space visualizer
- Everything (& EverythingToolbar) - Search tool
- Playnite - Game library
for android:
- Mihon/Tachiyomi - Manga reader
- Obtanium - Manage apps from various sources (github, gitlab, etc)
- Syncthing-Fork - File syncing
- MiXplorer - Feature dense file manager
- Universal Android Debloater Next Generation (technically a windows/linux program) - Remove/disable stock apps
for linux:
- wine/proton - windows translation software
- yazi - File manager
- easyeffects - Audio processing
- mpv - Video player
There are plenty of ways to run non-steam games and most games work out of box. Wine/Proton, the software that steam uses to translate windows calls to linux calls, can also be run outside of steam. Wine can also just run generic windows programs so config software will probably run fine.
The peripherals is where you may run into some issues as I’m not sure how well supported they would be on linux. I wouldn’t know as I don’t use any special peripherals.
