Anecdotal evidence, but most of my trans femme friends (E between 1-8 years between them) report having cycles. My wife gets weepy over things she usually doesn’t around the same time every month!

Yep, absolutely a period! I recommend trying some chocolate when you’re feeling down

Personally I don’t think that solidarity between women should be above all other loyalties. If another woman disagrees with human rights, she’s not my ally.

As I understand it, the reason sheep are so good is that they don’t graze up, so they’re unlikely to try munching on any power cords (unlike goats). I don’t know enough about cows to say definitively, but my guess is that you’re going to need the solar panels up high enough for them to be comfortable, and also sturdy enough that a leaning cow won’t knock them over. So it may work but the additional considerations could prove more expensive.

She’s not a child anymore Joanne, she’s in her 30s. Is it really that hard to consider that you might be wrong? You don’t reach enlightenment when you become a billionaire y’know.

Or, put another way, they can have free speech, but they can’t force you to listen to them
In what world could this be interpreted as progressive?

They are often in red areas of blue states as well, simply from a population density perspective. You don’t put large turbines in cities, it would be unsafe (all turbines need to have a certain distance from other structures including other turbines in case they fall over or launch ice from their blades or something).

I think you’re correct, if Trump orchestrates all of that (Sliwa and Adams both dropping out) without explicitly endorsing, that could be a threat. But Trump is toxic waste in NYC. Of course everywhere has their share of assholes, but NYers have a long memory for crises specifically. Trump deliberately targeted them during covid, bragged about his building height during 9/11, I could go on. They hate his guts way more than they hate Cuomo.

Not the joke bridge, ai yi yi

I can’t think of anything more campaign sinking than an endorsement from Trump in an NYC mayoral race (that Cuomo already lost within his own proported party).

Recycling plastics specifically. Aluminum recycles amazingly well, and glass decently, so keep recycling those!

I don’t know if you’re correct or not but regardless, this argument definitely sounds like that doctor who told John Green it’s not normal to sneeze

There’s not a panecea to fascism through minority democratic process. Gumming up the works is the most they can do within the system.

Fuck that guy- if you see someone collecting signatures for this, give them an earful!

I agree with the general trend of advice in this thread, but I’m going to go one step further: monetizing your hobbies is a very good way to get burnt out on those hobbies. Finding good work that you enjoy is important! But you should also have some things that are just for you.

Some people are asexual but not aromantic, and some people can’t have sex due to medical issues, so there are plenty of people out there who separate these! A lot of folks do experience them as entangled experiences, and that’s fine too. What’s important is finding what parts work for you, and a partner that is compatible with that if applicable.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to argue that “real” name doesn’t mean “legal” name (unless stated elsewhere in the agreement). “Real” should refer to non-fraudulent, not a pseudonym, etc. A trans person’s “preferred” name is their real name for these purposes. I hope this youtuber gets this decision reversed asap.

Hello! USAmerican here, studying mainly French y un poco español, and I definitely hear your frustrations. English is several languages disguised as one, and I can’t imagine picking it up as a second language! It’s really unfortunate that it’s so ubiquitous online.
Coming from the other side of things, gendering in language does feel very strange. What does it matter to me if the dog is male or female? Unless I’m looking up close, I probably don’t even know for sure. And even less so for nouns that are genderless in English. In learning romance languages, I was always taught to default to male (which can also be true in English in many cases) but that also feels like priming the mind to make male experience the default and female the secondary, you know?
Also, for they/them, this is very commonly used as a singular in English outside of specifically nonbinary people, usually when you don’t know the gender of the person in question. An example might be, “someone left you a note, but they didn’t sign it.” I believe this has recorded usage back to Shakespeare’s writings!
Beautiful! I love the moss stitch, it’s very easy to get into a groove with and has a really nice texture as a result.
If you’re worried about the increase/decrease being noticeable, I’d recommend a border! The more elaborate, the more it’ll disguise any defect (so limited results from a single stitch border and better results with scalloped for instance). But also don’t forget, you always have to have at least one error in your work or else you’ll trap your soul in it 😉
