I used to do this until my ADHD was diagnosed and managed specifically. Other medical problems might be something worth looking into, instead of just continuing to berate yourself into moving. You can be kind and still expect something of yourself.

The urge to do this is real, but talking to yourself like a kind, loving, and forgiving friend can do amazing things. You can practice by making a point of being a kind, loving and forgiving person outwardly, and one day you might just find yourself doing it internally too.

It’s easy for it to break off and get stuck in your throat. Just use a dildo ffs.
Also: AI-slop.
- The nearest two hitches are pixel-perfect square to the camera.
- The tailpipe on the first truck on the right melts into a smudge.
- There is almost no detail in the concrete even though all the trucks are in sharp focus.
- All shadows have an ethereal quality and the light seems to have an inconsistent directionality.
- The ball on the white truck melts into the white line behind it.
- The green truck behind the white truck has a fender that seems to melt into a wheel.
- The box on the orange truck on the left seems to be about 3’ deep.
Lol. I encourage you to zoom in and look at the details.
What in the GPT is going on with the hitches in the distance?

If you pay, things are good. If you don’t, they’ll make sure things are not good.

WiredBrain@lemmy.cato Ontario@lemmy.ca•The entitlement of some Ontario drivers is absolutely astonishing. They are fully aware that you are breaking the law by going 15% over the speed limit. And yet they victimize themselves? English4·2 months agoBy all means: be an advocate for safer driving. Just know that this kind of advocacy been the dominant strategy for decades and the research says it doesn’t work, or at least not as well as roads engineered to be safe. Have a look at the work by Strong Towns for more information, if you’re interested.
I know there’s nothing I can say in this moment that will change your mind, as were just typing to eachother on the internet. I’m just an advocate for this because I believe it has the potential to fix huge portions of Canada and Noth America generally, without a strictly left/right partisan stance.

And yet they victimize themselves? English6·2 months agoInstead of hoping people will feel a particular way, would it not be easier to get people to drive safer using measues that directly cause them to drive more safely, irrespective of their feelings in the moment?
WiredBrain@lemmy.cato Ontario@lemmy.ca•The entitlement of some Ontario drivers is absolutely astonishing. They are fully aware that you are breaking the law by going 15% over the speed limit. And yet they victimize themselves? English7·2 months agoThat’s exactly the point… If they drive safer because they don’t want to scratch the paint on their car or because the feel some kind of communion with others, what difference does it make? We often chalk up problems to “personal responsibility” when we should be focusing waaaay more on systems and the built environment.
People use things the way they’re implicitly built to be used.

She’s being racist AF but it’s indeed something approaching a logical conclusion, just not the one she’s intending. After reading all the hate that one transracial woman got years ago, I realized it sounded an awful lot like the standard TERF rehoritic. Gener is a construct, and so is race. The existence of transgender people almost necessitates the existence of transracial people. I’d love to hear a counter argument, because I’m not sure a good one exists…
