The only way it could be theater is if all three of them are world class actors who have stayed entirely in character for years.

This is my take on it too.
I really don’t think it’s likely that they’re just posturing as a distraction - I don’t think either one of them is that subtle. But even if they are, I think they’re both so thin-skinned that even if they didn’t start out serious, they’re going to end up that way.

There was a time in our history when instant hatred of blacks was the norm too, and people then would’ve no doubt also been lost by any effort to fault the haters instead of the hated.
And before you even go there, they also would’ve been able to trot out a list of reasons why their hatred was purportedly justified.
At some point in the future (if we have a future) people will figure out that boys need and deserve help and sympathy because they too face hardships, and they’ll provide it for them, rather than just leaving them to deal with it on their own, then blaming them for turning to a bunch of toxic assholes who have made a comfortable living out of offering boys the help and support and affirmation they’re not getting elsewhere.
Until then, unfortunately, I expect to keep seeing a large chunk of society alternately disregard boys at best if not outright condemn them out of hand, then cry about the fact that they’re turning to the manosphere for support and affirmation.

Actually, US senators are in a position to do something that would actually go some way toward repairing relations with Canada - they can (with the House’s cooperation) remove the profoundly mentally ill, immensely dangerous and brazenly corrupt demagogue Trump from office.

People end up with some truly bizarre beliefs when they’re determined to decree what it is that made this country great and so could make it great again, but immediately reject the things that actually did make it great - good wages, progressive taxes and social services.

Plus rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, deer, foxes, coyotes…
Well… technically I almost never see the owls or the coyotes - I just hear them after dark.
There are also skunks and porcupines around, but I almost never see them either, though I do sometimes smell where a skunk has gone by. There are bobcats around too, but nobody ever sees them.
