It’s a real worry. I watched a Rachel Maddow video on youtube recently and got several minutes in before I realised it was fake, it was very convincing. How is society going to function when none of us know what’s real and what’s not?

Omg, as an Australian who lived in the US during the Obama years, now back home with my American wife and US born kids, this is a thousand percent me!

A lot of people are struggling with that realisation. My wife has always been extremely close with her 2 sisters and mother, and they all voted trump last year. She’s had a very hard time with it, but she’s kind of at the point now where she’s severed a lot of her connection to them. She’s just being polite to them at this point.

I lived there for 10 years and have a lot of fond memories of the place. It’s always had its problems, but it’s always been an amazing country in a lot of ways. But I got to see the Obama years and the growth of the tea party and this was always coming. I’m convinced that leaving when I did is the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and my family, and I really feel for all the people who are stuck there with this insane death cult.

I wish all world leaders had balls like this. Fuck trump and fuck America under trump.

I wish more world leaders would find their spines like this.

We’re pretty much at the point where you can’t even expect to get a job without some form of social media presence. I hate it. I used to be able to google myself and find literally nothing.

Hope it works out for you. Due to certain financial outcomes, I’m pretty much stuck where I am, for better or worse. Will have to be satisfied that my teenaged daughters never had to live in trump’s America.

I liked Duke Nukem 64. Me and my mates would play that non-stop. Goldeneye was never worth playing because the guy who owned the N64 was unbeatable.

In the US or Australia? Curious because roo has always been pretty expensive here.

Mostly it was moving from the Midwest to a sub-tropical beach paradise. Which I thought (but definitely didn’t say) was kinda funny, because her reason for saying she’d never move was family. But pretty much all the reasons she’s been glad we did move are related to trump and what the US has become.

I’d be shocked if you could get cheap roo. I’m Australian and roo costs more than beef here.
