I think hard movement crowd control in any game is very frustrating to receive in any game. Even more so in a movement based shooter. I get why they removed it. I was wondering if it could rather be like a glitch gun, preventing abilities, but that would just be too similar to a glitch grenade.

Most of my gaming time recently has been The Finals. Of all the new shooters released over the past couple of years, I feel The Finals has been the one that tried the most to be its own thing. And I think that is why its earned its own dedicated fan base. I normally try play a couple rounds a day and keep it casual.

There is also a !THE_FINALS@fedia.io community. It would be cool to see a Lemmy Finals community grow.

Disco is easily one of my favourite gaming experiences. But I agree, it does require your attention. I’d say, give it the time you can, let it consume you and enjoy the ride

I’ve recently been maining Dual Blades, with Turrert, Zipline, Mine and Goo. I really like off meta builds and I’ve managed do pretty well with it in World Tour. Turret seems important with the build to add some range and distraction while getting in close.

Oh its definitely a more casual type of change. Nothing about this is promoting serious style of gameplay. And I’m all for that, its encouraging players to remember the game is not meant to be taken completely seriously.

I haven’t seen anything too game breaking yet; it is risky. Its pretty inconsequential in the final round where the goal is still 50000. Realistically, you are only going to get there with 2 cashouts. And its limited to WT, I agree it wouldn’t make sense in Ranked.

Came across a brood of these chicks in a nearby National Park. They stay in parental care for up to 9 months, and only 12% of chicks per nest grow to adult due to their susceptibility to disease and poor weather.

Surely that isn’t sustainable for you or beehaw? On the one hand, please take care to look after your own best interests. We really appreciate your work, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of your well-being.

On the other hand, if the project is based on full time volunteer work by people who can’t afford to volunteer full time over the long term, surely that is a major risk to the long term viability of the instance?
