Pfp is my #chinchilla, Muffin, begging to be let out for floor time so she can eat my baseboards. Banner picture is of my two #cavy boars, Oreo (right) and Coffecake (left), who are claiming that I have never fed them once and will soon starve to death, despite the full food bowl behind them.

Nope. That said, they barely pee for a critter their size. They are very water-efficient desert critters. Their poop goes everywhere, though.
@LilB0kChoy
Fun story about that: last week, Muffin was running around on our futon enjoying being somewhere she wasn’t supposed to be, when she suddenly turned around, looked me dead in the eyes, and made a face I can best describe as “toddler pooping in diaper”. She left a wet spot there as big as her that soaked all the way down to the mattress, which thankfully had a waterproof cover.
No. Everywhere is the bathroom. Especially for girls; girls sometimes express their displeasure by spraying urine at you. Muffin doesn’t do that, though.
@Pandantic
She actually does not like being pet. She tolerates it as part of interacting with her humans, and she will climb all over me if able, but touching the royal person is usually forbidden. What she wants here is to be let out for floor time!

I just noticed Piefed’s hastags aren’t visible over here on Mastodon. Odd.

Happy birthday Perseus! I can’t see the pic from Mastodon. Hopefully they fix that someday.

I think we might have the same brand of cage. Do you also have a Critter Nation cage?
@thelsim
Great idea. I will look into the game, too.
In my setting magic is superscience left over from the first age. Could be nanites in everything, could be something weirder. The players casting spells is similar to if your dog figured out how to say “Alexa, all lights on” and realized saying those magic words created light.
Also, the aliens are going to be demons, sort of, being the children of the Fear of the Other and the Fear of the Incomprehensible. Not that the aliens or PCs would know this. So magic will work fine.
You actually gave me a different great idea. In my setting, we have all the normal fantasy stuff, but the elves are robots who often modify their bodies to do stuff like have plasma cannons hidden in their arms or directly interface with the GPS satellites. I think something like the Borg would be a great way to handle half-elves.
Needs more recursion!

Xilabar the Dice Goblin@dice.campOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How long could a kid be sent to juvie for trespassing on museum property i proximity to a robbery?1·2 months agoWell, the thing she definitely (but not proveably) stole is basically something like a mix between the Millenium Puzzle, the Lament Configuration, and the Behelit. Very very bad news to have stolen, and under normal circumstances the only person to have a motive to steal it would be the next dark lord.

I don’t think so. We’re going to see *normal* malice from government employees. For example, the macguffin she stole was being displayed in a museum as bait for Baby Voldemort, who happens to be her best friend. Normally the dark lordling isn’t a team player and would just charge in and grab it, so there was a security team to nab anyone who tried to steal it and then Get Rid Of Them. Obviously detaining people for pre-crime is not legal, so this was a secret operation.

Huh. I never considered that. I think i need to rework her backstory a bit, since I wrote that she’d already been to juvie once in 2nd grade when she turned the school bully into a speedbump. If there’s a minimum age for criminal liability, what would happen to that murder charge?

Fantasy setting, gonna be inspired by America because that’s what I know. Main change is that lawyers are, by nature of the magic system, always wizards. The actual story takes place in magic school, and this isn’t the main character so the trial isn’t going to be given much attention.
Xilabar the Dice Goblin@dice.campOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How long could a kid be sent to juvie for trespassing on museum property i proximity to a robbery?3·2 months agoFor context, the macguffin in question is something like a cross between the Millenium Puzzle and the Lament Configuration. It takes a powerful mind and will to solve it, and the sort of people who are drawn to it will do great things—terrible, yes, but great. It’s reasonable to assume this 10-year-old middle-class white girl stole it because she’s going to grow up to be the next Voldemort, so I think its reasonable for the judge to throw the book at her.

Ooh this is a cool idea. And I wouldn’t worry about the evilness of the act since Lawful Evil is a Lawful alignment
