Professors have academic freedom to teach their courses how they want so long as the course learning objective are met.

They are supposed to be the content experts and know what’s important and trending in their respective fields.

I’m addition, that “order” banning DEI on colleges and universities was a “dear colleague” letter which means nothing for all intents and purposes.
