Nice! The one I found looked like this. I remember picking it up because I thought the logo looked cool. I think it was 5.2 though
Red Hat, before the enterprise stuff, back in 1999. Installed from a CD found in a book from the library
The content is completely different. Here it feels more thought out.
Last@reddthat.comto Coffee@lemmy.world•What to look for when buying coffee machines ?English1·19 days agoFor drip coffee makers, most are pretty similar. The main differences come down to capacity and a few convenience features. If you’re open to trying other methods, you might also enjoy pour-over, cold brew, or French press. The Hario V60 is a great option for pour-over, offering more control over flavor and brew time.
If you’re into espresso, just keep in mind that good espresso machines can get pricey. Look for one with consistent pressure (around 9 bars), a quality grinder, and a solid build. Manual espresso machines offer the most control, while automatic ones are more beginner-friendly.
Last@reddthat.comto Coffee@lemmy.world•What is fine coffee supposed to look and feel like?English41·19 days agoIt depends on the brew method: finer for espresso, medium for drip or pour-over, and coarse for French press. Sometimes I grind my coffee a bit finer for a different taste.
This is amazing

Last@reddthat.comto Discussion@hilariouschaos.com•Was Lemmy Created for Political Extremists Only?English6·2 months agoI see it as a Linux focused Reddit alternative with fewer memes. Does it have more political content than reddit, or is it just more noticeable with fewer memes? I don’t even really engage with that stuff unless its news.
Last@reddthat.comto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•at the plasma donation place, one of the screening questions is "have you had a condition with scab formation?" - like, a superficial cut, or a mosquito bite?English3·2 months agoThat’s fucked up to use donations as a checkup. Hope you were joking
People will tell you. Worst I’ve had is a pulled back muscle from sneezing while leaning forward in my chair.
Last@reddthat.comto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you like most about the Christmas season?English5·5 months agoI get to pretend for a little while that things are OK. All of the songs are really happy. I think I get wrapped up in the nostalgia and remember being a kid.
I actually like some of this
I have to go with dubstep. Clown Core is interesting, but it still has sections that are clearly music. Dubstep is just noise.
Last@reddthat.comto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•how do I stop giving a f*ck about my coworkers political ideas?English15·5 months agoSomeone already mentioned going to HR or talking to your boss, but if you really want to shut it down just call her out on her bullshit. Make her explain her position and ask followup questions until she can’t respond. She’s just parroting some talking head, and you can even make a game out of trying to figure out which one she’s channeling

Last@reddthat.comto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the worst Xmas/new year eve you've ever lived?English3·5 months agoThis one. So many uninvited guests… No one wants them here, but they have to complain about how I live for some reason. I’m not even sure there will be another one it’s so bad. I think we’ll end up blocking numbers and changing phones to avoid them, etc
Last@reddthat.comto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When applying for a new job do most employers still require drug scans and do they also go through your social media?English2·5 months agoI still don’t believe this. I’ve been part of the interview process at several different companies, and no one ever talked about social media. Maybe it’s not a thing in IT?
I’ve never heard this before. Why would that be?
