It’s not “controlled” so much as both parties represent different factions of the same class interests

The downside here is that everyone left will be the most rabidly anti China meat heads you’ve ever seen
As it was written

Call them opposition parties, since both the Republicans and Democrats are effectively always “in government” as a coalition, with one being the junior partner depending on election performance.
The bit where no one could remember Tim Kaine’s name was solid though

Tbf if you have any sort of financial comfort in burgerland you don’t WANT to have to see the truth. Bill Maher just gave them permission to look away

And all the libs are skeptical of this for the opposite reason, I saw it on FB and all the comments were about how this was just Republicans in swing states trying to flip California

Unfortunately not, because that one district in Nebraska would have to go red for that to work and it’s been moving into solid blue territory for a while. Harris might win by exactly one electoral vote though, which would be less funny “ha ha” and more “acceleration into the cool zone”

It might have been more about getting turnout for the guy running against Ted Cruz, who’s really underperforming in the polls rn. And even though the other guy is definitely a neoliberal ghoul, I hope he wins. Because fuck Ted Cruz

No, Kamala needs to win PA, along with WI and MI, or she loses (unless there’s some weird polling error in Georgia and Arizona where those states are actually more favorable to her). Trump only has to win PA or WI or MI and he probably wins. She has to get lucky three times, he only has to get lucky once.
BUT if there is a polling error of some kind, it’s widely systemic and national. So there’s a chance of a Trump sweep and a chance of a Harris sweep where everything from MI to AZ on this list goes to one candidate or the other. So don’t worry about the polls, just get out there and VOTE for Claudia de la Cruz
It’s her turn!

But I can’t even buy campaign ads in Cuba? How can you call that democracy?

You’re assuming this is designed to represent the will of the people. No, it’s designed to give the ruling class a veneer of legitimacy
They’re famous for being ruthlessly oppressive. It wouldn’t work in the long run, obviously, but from the US’s perspective, it’s good because Israel isn’t the one getting the bad press
Isn’t the US, the UAE and Saudi Arabia openly planning to install a Palestinian emirate loyal to the west? That’s their idea of a “Palestinian state” and yeah no shit the left is opposed to that

There’s a concept of an argument similar to the French “clothespin” election a decade ago, where the left argued voters should put pinch their nose with a clothespin (figuratively) and vote for the conservative candidate in order to prevent a win by fascist Le Pen. Of course, the difference is that in the French system multiple parties have a (relatively) fair shake in the first round of voting, so applying this logic to the US just means you will be voting for Democrats, forever, no matter what else happens or how genocidal the Democrats get.

Agreed. No one has to vote, but refusing to vote has never been an effective strategy for dissent. Ideally, vote PSL. But honestly I don’t give a fuck of you hand it to your toddler with a crayon and have them pick. It’s the organizing that really counts
Maybe I’m just too young but I’ve never seen the word “gossip” as gendered? Men definitely gossip
