Yeah, most Americans are generally not into the “USA USA USA” cult-like behavior of it all. Most of us are just regular people working shitty jobs to pay for shitty places to live. And all the grandstanding and “Do something!” from your rant is extremely disingenuous to the people are fucking doing something. Just because you don’t hear about it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. And you’re kind of an asshole for generalizing a whole people like that.

The law is NOT the “only thing holding us back from killing each other”. There isn’t some crowd of killers ready to go, but oh shucks they just respect the law way too much. What a ridiculous notion. If the law prevented us from killing each other then nobody would ever kill anyone.

  • Google play and Amazon are only going to give you 320kbs MP3s.

Be aware that Dolby Atmos is a surround sound standard developed in 2011. So nothing before that will be mixed in it unless it’s received a remaster.

I’m a huge Muse head too, and I’ve found the only way to get high quality recordings is to buy the vinyl. But it certainly won’t be in surround sound. Like most modern stereo albums, you’ll most likely get 3.1 channels (left, right, center, and bass.) My advice is to just get what you can and enjoy the music.

  • The United States is (not very) slowly sliding into full blown fascism. Things are getting less progressive here, not more. If you think that the current elimantionist rhetoric centered around trans people won’t make its way to you and your husband, then you haven’t read a single word of history. Shit’s about to get a whole lot worse for folks.

  • I’m as much as a Linux guy as anybody else, but this really just seems like an interfacing issue. I’ve never done anything professionally with computers, but I run all of my self hosted stuff right on my windows machine (no virtualization) with no issues. The only times things MIGHT go down is when I’m updating. I’ve never used Windows 11, so if it’s as bad as Windows Vista then that makes sense, but then why not just use Windows 10? It exists and you can use it and it works
