The interesting thing is there is continuity in Max’s appearance, he gets injured in the leg in the first film so in 2 he has a brace, after his crash in 2 he has a permanently dilated pupil which they show in a closeup in 3. Little details like that.

It’s just yeah the timeline is fuzzy with the idea it’s mythology, even from the second where we find out the feral child is now an old man recounting his past, and then in 3 where those who left tell their story orally to the next generation.

Lot of good answers here. As I always keep bringing up contradictions are resolved by practice. The USA is built on a whole host of contradictions international, national, economic and societal, and we can’t predict how they will be resolved. Even if the very unlikely event everyone somehow peacefully threaded the needle to resolve all these contradictions in a way that a USA still exists it would not be the same USA through the process it’s been through.

I’m really jerking Morrowind off today. But that’s another thing Morrowind did well. It had multiple redundant fast travels. You want to get to Vivec? You can arrive by boat, by magic or by Silt Stridor.

Also where Fallout 4 was almost getting there. The Brotherhood had the Vertibirds and the Institute had the Relay. The minutemen and the Railroad however were kind of lacking (unless you destroy the brotherhood with them). Like they should have had their own fast travel system too. Like the Railroad has underground tunnels to bypass thing. The Minutmen can transport you by wagon between settlements. Something like that. Especially as it had a survival mode without fast travel.
