  • That isn’t really the point though, I just saw another post of a German multinational company cutting their diversity measures because of Trump’s anti-DEI executive orders and threats. And pollivierre, if he hadn’t lost so hard, was basically promising to suck up hard to Trump, presumably starting with the lgbt stuff and ending with the annexation. If every country could live in a bubble and completely shut out all the influence of the others, you’d be right, but that’s not how it works.

  • I saw “QUILTBAG” before.

Queer (Q and U, and sometimes people use Questioning instead), Intersex, Lesbian, Transgender, Bisexual, Asexual and Gay. I don’t think it’s my favorite, I prefer just “queer” personally, but I do like how it being more of a word than an acronym denies the message of the “-without the T” bigots. You can’t take out any letters without noticeably destroying the word. A quilbag isn’t anything.

The only issue is that ending it with “-bag” makes it sound kind of rude to me. It makes me think of the word douchebag. I definitely like the spirit, though. There must be other words out there that could seamlessly incorporate the existing acronym, shuffle it up a bit, and not sound too rude either.

  • On a random day in either January or February, I just decided I was fed up with windows and microsoft and installed linux Mint. While not problem-free, the experience was rather pleasant. I might make a Windows VM for the few things that I can’t get working on linux, but at the same time, I just kind of don’t want to bother. Now, when I read about windows getting worse, I don’t have to worry about myself, and that’s a huge relief.

Screw going back. If I had an easy way to leave the country and renounce my US citizenship to become the citizen of a different nation, I would. Not sure if I’d necessarily want to do so in Canada, seeing as its southern border is touching this rotten hell-on-earth icon of hubris, but it would still be a welcome start.
