So it doesn’t change anything in any of the 3 scenarios, until the last one, and even then there’s still no documented evidence of the Lemmy devs not helping ever happening?

Then why doesn’t that admin switch their instance to Piefed? It’s been stable for a while now

Here is an example of both Dessalines and Nutomic helping troubleshooting Lemmy.cafe , which defederates from .ml

If such comment was made it would have probably created a lot of dedicated posts
If an admin of any instance got threatened that way they should probably release the evidence as this would probably encourage people to move to Piefed.

The Threadiverse Admin group has all the admins of the biggest instances , that’s probably more than enough to troubleshoot any issue
Also if you’re experiencing a but in the software itself, there are high chances that it’s there for everyone, so Lemmy devs will probably want to know about it

Impressive investigation
No worries!

But it has come up that some major instances have a big concern in that if they defed from .ml dessalines will pull back support from them in retaliation
Any evidence of this? https://infosec.pub/instances defederates from Lemmy.ml and is doing just fine

Thank you!

I do not have the authority to make it policy.
Who does?
Great suggestion !
Navigate in the community session and search through hundreds of non-political one; Hobbies, books, tv series, anime, movie, ecc. You can also use this lemmy explorer site : https://lemmyverse.net/
About that, the “Communities” page on Piefed has a counter of weekly active users, so you can use that to find active communities. There are also feeds on https://piefed.social/feeds that can help find communities on a specific topic, and can be subscribed from other instances
Shadow is a Lemmy.ca admin

I had a quick look about the “spamming”
Turns out it wasn’t spamming the same post over 30 communities, but just adding an additional message in the body of relevant posts.
These have been received positively by a few people
On the other hand, the 30 identical comments posted under each of those unique posts have been received quite negatively

There are only removed posts, no banned users.
Doesn’t that fall under “other sanctions”?
What sanction did they impose (e.g. community ban, instance ban, removed comment)?
Post only about bans or other sanctions that you have received from a mod or admin.

Thank you for clarifying
Then why don’t those admins switch to Piefed if that’s a fear? It’s been around for a while now, and it works as well as Lemmy.
While we are talking, why haven’t you switched to a Piefed account yourself?
