Frodo Bookings!
I’ve actually had to block her account on Reddit, because it’s usually low effort humor or just plain drama, but always highly upvoted - so always comes on top of your feed, in place of other comics. But you don’t have that option here since it’s not the official account posting…
I wish there was a comic creator label in such post titles, so we could easily filter them.
If she’s so sick of it, and they’re not doing anything about it, why does she still stay on Reddit?
Also, why are you re-posting this Reddit-specific drama on Lemmy? Let her make an account and post her stuff if she wants
Current device doesn’t look like anything really, featureless black slab that it is, so no wonder.
Even more bonus points for including an IZOT Bulgarian 8" disk, just the same as I’ve seen at my dad’s workplace as a kid 😄 They kept them on the shelves for historical reasons at this point I guess, because most PCs there had the 3.25" ones.
Damn, this took me down memory lane… now I need some Fortran punchcards to wipe my tears with.

This is absolutely insane, and I don’t understand how it’s tolerated.

It’s not only stupidity, it’s pinpoint targeted propaganda and fear-mongering at less keeeping-up-with-the-times people. It’s basically foreign countries heavy-handedly meddling in internal country matters to sow chaos and gain relative advantage.
People will always be the weak point of any system, scapegoating them won’t fix anything, there has to be a better protection from foregin (or internal) un-democratic interferences.

Used to be the other way around, their more detailed reviews were on the website, again Steve doing the writing, YT being more of a complimentary channel. But I guess once the YT channel started to take off, he saw the hard cold truth that it just gathers way more attention and gradually focused less on the text reviews.
Tbh I preferred their website more, gave me the option to read it at my own pace, and focus on the parts I care most about, not fiddle with forward and rewind on YT, and having to pause to look at the charts in more detail and peace from the cosntant commentary track.

Wild that mobile gaming is 49% of the total gaming market. I would’ve guessed consoles had that footprint, and PC and mobile were the smaller markets. Sure, it’s way more accessible than PC and consoles, but that they’re also generating so much revenue (and with the majority of the games being basically slop, compared to what gamers with actual gaming hardware have).

It’s the same people who ordered their soldiers to dig trenches in the irradiated soil close to Chernobyl, in the brief time they occupied it, at the start of Russia’s war. As long as it’s happening away from Putin and his kelptocracy circles, they don’t care about consequences to friends or foes, only how it will benefit them.

Bookmarks is where all my open tabs go to die and never be remembered again.

Wow, these are some wild numbers, and very damning for Tesla’s “quality” in particular.

Actually, the way I understand it, he won’t be getting it if things continue to go south for Tesla.
Goals for Musk over the next decade include the company’s delivering 20 million vehicles, having 1 million robotaxis in operation, selling 1 million robots and earning as much as $400 billion in core profit. But in order for him to get paid, Tesla’s stock value has to rise in tandem, first to $2 trillion from the current $1.5 trillion, and all the way to $8.5 trillion.
Achieving each step - an operational goal and a valuation milestone - awards Musk 1% of stock. So the plan could still hand Musk tens of billions of dollars even if he falls short of most of its ambitious targets.
If Musk hits all of them, he would be eligible for 12% in stock, or about $1 trillion.
It’s not a completely dumb plan by the investors to keep him focused on the company, but certainly is bonkers renumeration and wild direction.
Personally, I think their investments will be safer with him waaay away from Tesla, rather than concocting hail-mary schemes to drive an already severely inflated stock to even more inflated valuations.
But hey, I don’t invest in shares, so what do I know, and what do I care about theze bozos.

I’d more like put color e-ink into that category - as gimicky and half-baked technology building on a more established one (e-ink is doing quite well with readers, low-power displays, etc.)
Sorry to be pedantic, but wouldn’t this be the correct line:
cat mum (making faces): that means 6 7 is the
answer to theultimate question of life, the universe and everything!
42 is the answer
