I’d recommend mods unless you also like being pegged by bugs and crashes. Also possibly something to help with combat, it’s a little jank when not using V.A.T.S.

That’s entirely valid, everything is subjective after all. I just don’t see how you can put 100 hrs into F3 but can’t get through 1 hr of FNV.

Throwing a handful of mods on, can give it a much less dated vibe. The pacing in Goodsprings is quite slow, if you can’t stand it, head onwards as soon as you have a semi decent weapon.
With “onwards” meaning “around the long way”.
