Putting everybody in the database and declaring them terrorists means the database is no longer useful. The label no longer has meaning. If everyone is a terrorist no one is a terrorist.
It opens the door for arbitrary enforcement. In the theoretical world where these guys may have to justify themselves in a court of law, they can say “he was in the domestic terrorist database, so we were justified in pinning him down with 5 guys while another guy shot him in the back after disarming him.”
Well, they’re not putting everybody in the database. They’re specifically putting anyone they think is against Trump in the database, so that they can eventually round them all up and dispose of anyone who doesn’t bow down to him. This isn’t an exaggeration, it’s literally what he’s saying: by opposing ICE, you become an enemy of the state, and we’ve seen what they do to enemies of the state.

The label never really had any meaning
