On poverty rate, I would like to know how they compare. The poverty line in the US has not been updated in a while and people making like $25k a year are not classified as poverty
The image literally says “below 50% of median income” right next to that. Not an artificially defined raw number subject to things like inflation.
So apples to apples, using the EU stat for poverty in the US, the poverty rate in the US is 48%
That sounds about right for a real world rate.
