one of my favorite @obsidianmd plugins got a major revision release recently; Waypoint! https://github.com/IdreesInc/Waypoint/
#Waypoint lets you put markup in a folder note that will create an index of all the notes in that folder and it’s children. A Waypoint will stop at another Waypoint note, but #Landmark notes act as a join between Waypoints.
Syntax is easy just put a single line:
%% Waypoint %%
%% Landmark %%
The resulting folder note looks a little like this attached image.
