And another example of why not having guns so easily available like in the US saves lives. People say “it’s the person not the weapon”, but the person with a weapon that can’t instantly kill hundreds, only maybe one or two, and they are way more likely to survive, makes a huge difference and makes heroes more likely to be successful in blocking an attack.
The worst person you know will be vehement that guns are needed in the UK because ‘a good guy with a gun’ would have stopped the knifeman 🙃
And killed multiple bystanders in such tight quarters. But they should have had their own guns to protect themselves and everyone in the train car should be dead other than the gun holders with magical armor from all the bullets…/s but this is basically how it’s presented in the US as well as other countries trying to have mass murders like the US so they can sell more guns. And I say this as a gun owner, but mine never leaves the safe in the house because it’s only for self defense on my home when the economy collapsed next and everyone else has one.

Why “Plato”? That seems like such a weirdly arbitrary code-word for “marauding terror attack”.
Code words and operation names and such are generally assigned arbitrary, often random, words so that you can’t get a hint of what’s coming when they’re invoked. For example “Operation Rolling Thunder” gives some clues that this is going to be a land assault, likely headed by tanks. “Operation Laundryman” says nothing meaningful. Code word “PANIC AT THE DISCO” likely suggests a large-scale response to anybody listening to police frequencies (like perps might be). “Plato” says … nothing, really.
