Capitalism, cars, and fossil fuels are what are killing people. And our own government.

Porn is so far from a problem next to Mike Johnson starving 40 million people to protect the pedofile and convicted felon squatting in the Whitehouse.

Did you want to debate and make arguments or just agree to disagree? I’m up for either.

In my experience this is not the platform for debate but I’m happy to provide a high-level rationalization for my disagreement. I will read (but may not respond) to your thoughts.

None of the things you mentioned will ever be fixed in any meaningful way without spiritual renewal in Christ. Porn is filth and it distorts reality. It degrades the souls of all involved. Human passion, vitality and, frankly, love is destroyed by this corrosive, shameful business which should be made illegal. There is no moral compass when the population is addicted to such exploitation.

That people get so defensive over pornography says a lot about the culture we live in. Culture is downstream of spirituality and this culture is spiritually nihilistic and self-serving at it’s core. Christ is self-sacrificial and all-loving. He is also paternalistic and all-powerful. None of these adjectives describe the state of society today. We are weak, vindictive, effeminate and emotional. The eternal victims.

This pathetic fatalism manifests itself in the form of lower birthrates, unemployment, self-hatred, smearing of the past, sexual confusion, doom-scrolling, yielding to our enemies etc. Ultimately a weak, atomized version of self that is easily manipulated towards whatever can be adequately marketed as “meaningful”.

This is why Western Christendom has all but fallen. It gave in to the individualism of the enlightenment and modernity. As a result the last large Protestant communion has fractured. Eastern Orthodoxy is growing despite the rebellious anti-Christian sentiment precisely because it offers the fullness of the ancient faith. A faith in which salvation is corporate and tradition unyielding. Without Christ all is nihilism. Nihilist society simply degrades because there is no purpose in any of it.

Remember the porno story where the guy is seduced by his daughters? You know the one, they make him drink wine, then have sex with him…

    Oh right it’s Genesis 19:30-38

The entire point of this story is that the daughters fall into old sins after the destruction of Sodom. They were reared in a culture of excess and sexual degeneracy and thus rely on faithless utilitarian logic to continue their family line. It’s seen as an abomination in the bible. Exposure to such things causes people to perform heinous sins. So, ironically, this passage totally supports the subject of the video.

Here you go. He describes in even more detail Lot and his daughters addiction to the transgressive cultures (e.g. sexual perversion, violence, selfishness) of Sodom and Zoar culminating in incest with his daughters whom earlier he offered to the brutes who wished to rape and kill his visitors.

              What is your exegesis?

This leads to a podcast site with dozens of episodes. Which one? And are they reading from an ancient text that says that or just hypothesizing. If it has a real source I’m interested.

                  The episode for Genesis 19.

Fr. Stephen De Young gives an Orthodox perspective that is informed by church fathers. There’s a lot you can dig into but this is a succinct (~1hr) explanation of the story of Lot and it’s relevance to the scripture you quoted.
