Hello five, can I ask you what is the message you wanted to share with this blogpost?
This community is for recording crimes and shitting on the israeli government and the zionist ideology. It is not made to debate what form of state “israel” should have. It is not up to israeli people to decide this.
Let me be clearer: the land is called Palestine and the people who decides how it should be governed are the Palestinians.
Hi Hell_nah_brother.
I object to your characterization of my post, but I don’t plan to post articles that don’t align with your vision for the community. It’s good to see this community is not without a moderator.
It is not made to debate what form of state “israel” should have. It is not up to israeli people to decide this.
‘No state’ is a ‘form of state’ in the same sense that atheism is a religion. I think the author shares your opinion that it should not be up to the Israeli people to determine Israel’s form of statehood. While the betrayal of Yiddish anarchists is not the greatest horror committed by Zionists, it is one of the tragedies worth reminding people about to better understand how we got here. Questions posed by the author to his Zionist audience are rhetorical. The letter is addressed to the demographic who might be ashamed by his words, but the message is not for them alone:
Do they know that there had existed great possibilities for Jewish-Arab understanding as well as for a large Jewish immigration, and that it was only the state-mania which destroyed these possibilities and led to war with all its attendant fears and dangers?
Instead of a large and peaceful immigration based on Jewish-Arab understanding, as we had proposed with the agreement of some prominent Arab leaders, we now have a mass-immigration exploiting the war-horror, occupying the villages and towns of the hundreds of thousands of Arabs who fled from their homes under fire, filled with fear of the victorious Jewish forces, a fear based on the horrible experiences under the victors. And the state is pleased: homes, business, properties, fields and gardens cultivated by generations of Arabs, all came as a mighty and blessed inheritance to the Jews.
As the letter was public, there is also a message embedded in the text to Palestinians - that you have an ally in resisting the state. When deciding whether I should post the letter here, I was emboldened by the banner for this sub:
In addition to adding to the list of tragedies, I thought it would be welcome to increase awareness of Jewish allies of Palestinian liberation, whose ideological descendants have a modern presence in the struggle against the Zionist state.
Thank you for explaining your point of view and for teaching me things I personally didn’t know.
You are absolutely welcome in the community. I’m a rough and direct guy, especially on this topic, forgive my manners. Have a great day!
