You thought that the National Guard being in DC would mean that nobody would ever do a crime there ever again?

      Interesting take, to be sure.

Then what is the argument for having the national guard in DC? My understanding is that calling it an emergency at best give him 30 days of guard assistance, but not as police due to the posse comitatus act.

It’s part of a plan to crack down on crime. Having the National Guard around is spooking criminals, and helps protect DC police (which I believe has been federalized) and the FBI from harassment and assault from pro-crime civilians as they arrest suspected criminals.

                https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_Home_Rule_Act

The police can’t be federalized they can only be compelled to provide service too the president for 30 days.

And the guard can’t do any policing under Posse Comitatus Act

                https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act

Also people who are opposed to the federal government abusing force, ignoring due process, violation the constitutional rights of native born citizens, and wearing masks to hide their crimes are not pro-crime they are pro-freedom and rule of law.

Fastest way to cut down on crime would be to arrest all of the executive branch and congress. They are the criminals.

This is Waco only now the feds are going after us all. They will come for your guns next the second they feel like you might be the next threat.

Fair enough on the police federalization front. I never said the National Guard was doing any policing.

I’m opposed to federal government abusing force, ignoring due process, violation the constitutional rights of native born citizens, and wearing masks to hide their crimes. That’s not what’s happening. People getting mad at the police arresting criminals, which is what is happening, are pro-crime.

Fastest way to cut down on crime would be to arrest all of the executive branch and congress. They are the criminals.

That would be fascism, which I don’t like.

                  So you oppose gun control?
