    The seed for this cartoon all started with a simple T-shirt design. If T-shirts were as popular in the nineteenth century as they are today, I wondered what kinds of things they would say. The sketch above lead to this cartoon.

      I think it’s also noteworthy that the defenders of the Alamo were famously all killed by the Mexican army. Outside of the US this is not common knowledge.

    Except no one ever really thought they kicked Santa Ana’s ass. Weren’t they commanded to abandon the Alamo, but chose a delaying action knowing there was no way they could stand up against a force 100x larger? Hell, Santa Ana could’ve simply walked his army in, defenders didn’t even have one bullet for every attacking soldier.
