really wish they’d gone fully animated for these movies. Guess they lacked confidence in the first one so they went with the generic “alien meets human” formula, but now the human characters (sans Eggman of course) feel like dead weight. Oh well, it’ll probably be fine. Curious to see how far they’ll go with Shadow’s backstory.
I’m never watching these movies because I have no desire to see Sonic on Earth. one of the best things about the games is all the colorful imaginative environments! I don’t need Sonic to be friends with James Marsden, fuck off. this live-action hybrid nonsense needs to stop, it’s never good
I like Ben Schwarz and think he was a good choice for the character. it’s a shame because they could have made a pretty decent animated Sonic movie, oh well

Yeah they show Maria in the trailer. I wonder if they’ll stay true to SA2 and have a child get shot by
NATOGUN.Asktually I believe it was never 100% said that they shot Maria in SA2. Only that she died in an accident. Gerald gets shot thought. In Shadow the Hedgehog they show Maria getting shot. Seems like this sonic movie is a mix of SA2, Sonic Heroes and Shadow.
In the adaptation of SA2’s story in Sonic X, they straight up say that Maria was shot and killed.
Was that cut in the US/International version? I remember a bunch of weird changes in Sonic X besides Chris being there.
The 4Kids dub hard cuts the shot out to the guy recollecting the memory, but the guy who shot her (who also has ptsd from it) says “She was so young, I’ll never forget her face”.
