That adds an unneccessary layer of complexity to thr situation. Resizing partitions isn’t difficult or takes long.

illusionist@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.world•Whomade is a daemon that knows who made that strange file in the dot-subdirectory of your /homeEnglish3·2 天前i won’t have it installed when I need it because I only install stuff when I need it. As soon as I need it, it is too late. Hence it should be installed by default for all users - unless there is a shortcoming. Why is this not the default?
illusionist@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.world•Whomade is a daemon that knows who made that strange file in the dot-subdirectory of your /homeEnglish3·2 天前I would need to install it now to use it in the future. But I don’t have the problem now, hence I don’t install it. When I need it, it won’t be installed. I install it after I need it and then I don’t need it for another year or so and then I uninstall it again because I don’t use and need it.
Out of curiosity, would it make sense to tag each (home dir) file with the creation/modification process (id)?
If yes, why is it not tagged by default? Could this be implemented upstream? It sounds extremely useful. Is it not?
Because there are people recommending it which is nuts
illusionist@lemmy.zipto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Dedicated music server or all-in-one media server?English3·2 天前Jellyfin has no five star rating for music. Navidrome has it. As simple as that.
You may want to read here https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface/wiki/Supported-Devices-and-Features#feature-matrix
There are no minisforum v3 on ebay kleinanzeigen in Germany. That’s sad :(
What do you use caddy for without domains?
Here’s a good source for nextcloud https://hub.docker.com/_/nextcloud/
No, but it supports avif which is (subjectively) more important
Thx. I guess I should block the repost bot
This looks very cool!
It looks like a wysiwyg markdown editor. What’s special about it?
The application was conceived as a hybrid of Notion and Obsidian.
illusionist@lemmy.zipto Free and Open Source Software@beehaw.org•Keybee Keyboard: The most ergonomic keyboard for Android.3·4 天前It takes very few days to get used to a new keyboard. I tried neo and others and it’s easier than you think. I didn’t stick to it because it’ll not take off in the next 10 years as long as nothing fundamentally changes. I won’t be the weirdo using a different keyboard. You may type a little bit faster but you can’t think faster. At least in my case thinking takes more time than typing.
You’re right, sorry! I checked it https://github.com/qdm12/gluetun-wiki/blob/main/setup/connect-a-container-to-gluetun.md#external-container-to-gluetun
Ah! Got you! I thought about data storafege in an app (but not for an app)
The network_mode: service: gluetun looks off to me but I can’t check.
Does each one their own?
I use flexify since a couple of weeks.
Database does not matter too much as long as you can add.
There are no new exercises every week.
Push will always be bench press or incline bench press. It’s always squats or good mornings. Etc.
It may be more work in the first two weeks but after that it’s ok
If you don’t know what you do, read thefitness.wiki
Probably anything else. A pi is a good idea.
You compare a machine that a vendor has prepared for windows to you preparing the pc for linux. It sounds like you did the setup. Alternatively, you could’ve paid someone to do that job for you. You could’ve bought a framework laptop with linux. It would work out of the box without any issues. And if there is one, you can blame framework.
Because I had issues with the distros I was using, I distro jumped. If the distro is perfect, there is little reason to jump. Ever since jumping onto fedora silverblue I don’t do anything with the OS anymore. It just works. I mainly install flatpaks. Did you try a live usb with some distros before deciding upon ubuntu studio? You chose one niche distro and to me it sounds like you judge about all distros.
A distro is just a package manager and a set of settings and apps pre selected by someone. If those settings don’t work out for you, it might be the wrong distro.
