Is the site trustworthy
in b4 haveibeenhaveibeenflocked.
they have a list of their current collection of 239 .csv files but sadly don’t appear to let you actually download them to query offline
Many of them are from foia’s on Muckrock.com and it takes a while. Governments are willing, but not overly so to give it up.
yeah, but i don’t understand why this site isn’t republishing in full all the files they’ve obtained and instead is only making the data available to query through them
you realize that same data could be used to identify people, right?
Nice try FBI.
Idk how I feel about this, but at the same time I don’t know how bad it really is if they’re being malicious, because I have trouble imagining what harm could be done by knowing nothing more than a license plate number
It can be used to track where you’re going, 2hen, how fast, people in the car, etc. They also can watch pedestrians, all without a warrant.
No, I mean, what good would it do this site, as theoretical data harvesters, if I put in my license plate number abcd123.
“oh, someone has a car with license plate abcd123”
I wasn’t talking about Flock. I was talking about this site as a potential security threat.
Oof rate limited.
